March 18 - AAAA PDTI Developing and Implementing an AAP for Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities - Tues., March 18, 2014 at 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST)

This course concentrates on the development and implementation of affirmative action programs required by the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended (VEVRAA), and by Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (Section 503). Taken together, both laws require federal contractors to employ and advance in employment qualified individuals with disabilities and veterans. These laws also require employers to take affirmative action to recruit, hire, promote, and retain members of these protected groups.

March 19 - 20 - Developing and Implementing an Affirmative Action Program for Women and Minorities - Weds., March 19, 2014 at 8:00 AM - Thurs., March 20, 2014 5:00 PM (EST)

This course concentrates on the development and implementation of effective Affirmative Action Plans (AAP's). The course covers all aspects of AAP's along with recent developments in applicable regulations. Participants need to bring a calculator with square root function and a laptop computer. Participants are also encouraged to bring affirmative action plans.
