Amanda Mercado practices labor and employment law, and is solely focused on the representation of employers. 

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Amanda served as a Judicial Extern for Magistrate Judge Flynn for the Middle District of Florida. While in law school, she served as Associate Member for the Stetson Law Review, and as Vice President of the Hispanic Bar Association. 

Amanda was inspired to pursue a career as an attorney after spending nearly six years as a paralegal upon earning her bachelor's degree. During this time she was able to gain extensive experience in various elements of litigation and legal practice.

During law school, Amanda was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a national honor society with membership limited to individuals who demonstrate exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. She was a member of Stetson University College of Law’s Dispute Resolution Board and named as a Regional Finalist in the 2022-2023 ABA Law Student Division Negotiation Competition and a National Semifinalist in the 2021-2022 ABA Law Student Division Arbitration Competition. During her final year in law school, she completed an externship with the U.S. EEOC.
