FordHarrison Grows Memphis Office with Addition of Two Attorneys

FordHarrison LLP, one of the country's largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce two additions to the Memphis office, Charles (Bud) V. Holmes will join as Partner and Russell W. Jackson will join as Counsel. Bud and Russell come to FordHarrison from Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C.

"Bud's and Russell's proven success will be an immediate benefit to FordHarrison," said Louis Britt, Office Managing Partner of the Memphis office. "They both have a great deal of valuable experience and we couldn't be more excited to have them on board."

Bud has over 30 years of experience representing employers in employment related matters. Upon graduation from law school, Bud served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Charles E. Nearn in the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Western Section. Subsequently, he served as Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Memphis where his primary responsibilities focused on advising and representing the City in employment-related matters. After entering private practice in 1989, Bud has exclusively represented private and public sector management in a wide variety of employment-related matters.

Russell represents management in employment-related matters on federal, state, and local levels. Russell's representation includes claims relating to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants, wage and hour violations, unemployment compensation, and other aspects of the employee-employer relationship under federal and state employment laws including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA and the OSH Act.

The addition of Bud and Russell is a continuation of the growth of FordHarrison's Tennessee offices. Other recent Tennessee additions include Greg Grisham, Partner in the firm's Memphis and Nashville offices and LaTanyia Walker, Associate in the firm's Memphis office.
