Phoenix – Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, announces the addition of David I. Weissman as a partner in the firm's Phoenix office. Most recently, Mr. Weissman was General Counsel of Ristal, Inc. d/b/a SelectShops, an Internet retailer specializing in products for new homeowners. He also served as Vice President and General Counsel at Sleep America, LLC and practiced with Jenner & Block and Sachnoff & Weaver (now Reed Smith) in Chicago.

"The knowledge and experience he gained as inside counsel managing the legal affairs of several national corporations provides a unique perspective that strengthens our ability to serve our clients."
As inside counsel, Weissman worked closely with top management in conducting all aspects of the company's day to day legal affairs, including numerous employment law issues, and was also responsible for managing various business operational matters. At Ford & Harrison, he will continue to concentrate his practice on providing practical legal advice and business solutions to his clients on labor and employment and other legal matters. Weissman will also draw on his years of experience in private practice representing clients in federal and state court litigation, including class actions, administrative agency proceedings, traditional labor matters, reduction in force analyses, wage and hour matters, employee manual/policy review and various other aspects of client counseling. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1997.
