Ford & Harrison Adds Northwest Airlines Senior Labor Counsel to Minneapolis Office

Date   Jul 29, 2010
Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of David R. Driscoll as partner in the firm's Minneapolis office. Prior to joining Ford & Harrison, Driscoll served as Senior Labor Counsel for Northwest Airlines (NWA) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He will practice both traditional labor and employment law.

In his more than 10 years with NWA, Driscoll handled all aspects of labor management relations, including contract negotiations and administration, arbitration of a variety of complex contract and employee conduct matters, internal investigations, and providing day-to-day counsel to all levels of management. His contract negotiation experience includes actively participating in NWA's Section 1113(c) bankruptcy negotiations, which culminated in consensual Labor Cost Restructuring Agreements and allowed the Company to emerge successfully from bankruptcy in early 2006. Driscoll earned an exemplary record representing NWA in both contract interpretation and discipline/discharge matters.

Driscoll's employment law experience includes providing proactive advice and training on a variety of topics and helping to formulate strategies in employment litigation claims under the ADA, ADEA, ERISA, Title VII and FMLA, in both state and federal courts. He received his J.D., cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law in 1991.

"We are very excited to have David join the Minneapolis office," said Tom Kassin, head of Ford & Harrison's Airline Group. "His experience at Northwest Airlines on issues related to both labor and employment counseling will be of great benefit not only to our airline clients but also to all of our clients served by our Minneapolis office."
