Tiffany Downs Selected to Profiles in Diversity Journal's 2016 Women Worth Watching List

FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Tiffany D. Downs, a Partner in the firm’s Atlanta office and leader of the Employee Benefits Practice Group, was featured in the 2016 Women Worth Watching Issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal. The prestigious award is in its 15th year, and is featured in the publication’s October issue.

Nominated by their employers for their passion, their potential, and their positive influence both inside and outside the workplace, the winners represent corporations, government agencies, and nonprofits from across North America and Europe. Their first-person accounts of lessons learned during their careers—featured in the magazine's print and online editions—are insightful and thought provoking. The women highlighted in this issue are as diverse as the industries and locations they work in, and the impacts they have had on their workplaces and their world.

Tiffany Downs focuses her practice on employee benefits and executive compensation. She advises and assists employers with all aspects of health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans and executive compensation. She assists with due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and post transaction transition and integration. She advises on compliance with ERISA, Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, privacy, COBRA, and Internal Revenue Code on all types of employee benefit plans and incentive compensation. She assists employers with audits by and corrections programs of the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor. She also defends claims under ERISA, including welfare and pension benefits claims for benefits, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and claims for equitable relief and discrimination for ERISA plan sponsors, plan administrators, fiduciaries, and third party administrators.
