NATIONAL – FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Lavern J. Wilson, Partner in the firm’s Atlanta office, has been selected as the firm’s next General Counsel, effective May 1, 2024.
This expanded role is a natural addition to Lavern’s role as the firm’s Talent and Recruiting Partner. Lavern joined FordHarrison as a first-year associate in the firm’s Tampa office in 2006 and was promoted to Partner in 2013. In that role, Lavern served as litigation and trial counsel to many firm clients. Lavern became the firm’s first Talent and Recruiting Partner in 2018, and since then has served in the firm’s lead role for managing attorney recruitment and development. Lavern’s journey from first-year associate to Talent and Recruiting Partner to now General Counsel is a testament to her unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions to the firm. With her entire legal career dedicated to FordHarrison, Lavern has a profound understanding of the firm’s values and operations.
