2025 Airline Labor & Employment Law Symposium
Visual Approach or Instrument Landing:
Using Sound Principles and Judgment in Managing Legal, Labor, and Workforce Issues in Aviation
The FordHarrison Airline Group is headed to the Music City for the 2025 Airline Labor & Employment Law Symposium! Attendees will be afforded ample networking time with industry peers and will take away best practices for managing emerging labor and employment law challenges in today’s aviation workplace. The symposium will feature discussions on:
- Artificial intelligence and automation, mental health & fatigue management, pregnancy and breastfeeding accommodations, the evolution of state and local leave laws, and other emerging employment law issues in the industry;
- Hot button issues in today's aviation labor relations environment including top demands by employee groups, avoiding common misunderstandings in negotiations, combatting pattern bargaining, and tips on closing out contracts;
- Anticipated changes to labor law under the Trump Administration, including the potential impact of a recent National Mediation Board Advisory Opinion eliminating the 40-year-old two-part test to determine whether a service provider is covered by the RLA as a derivative carrier; and
- Compliance strategies to avoid inadvertent violations of the FAA Pilot Records Database requirements.
The 2025 Symposium will also provide:
- Meals throughout the conference including a casual and social off-site dinner reception on Thursday evening at Johnny Cash's Bar & BBQ;
- Continuing education credit for participants (CLE in multiple states, HRCI and SHRM PDC’s); and
- Comprehensive program materials including access to FordHarrison’s routinely updated Boundless Labor & Employment Law SourceBook.
