LOS ANGELES – FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that David L. Cheng was named FordHarrison’s Los Angeles Office Managing Partner. David's predecessor, Dan Chammas, will remain as Partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

David joined FordHarrison as an Associate in 2013 and was promoted to Partner in 2020. David has practiced employment law in California for almost 20 years focusing his practice on complex business disputes and wage and hour class and collective action cases brought under both federal and state law. David co-leads the firm’s Wage & Hour practice group and serves as editor for the Class and Collective Actions module of FordHarrison’s Labor & Employment Law Sourcebook. In 2021, David was selected as FordHarrison’s Fellow for Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). As a fellow, David was able to connect with other high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds, further developing his professional and personal development opportunities, leadership training, and relationship building resources. David was listed as a Southern California Rising Star in the Super Lawyers publication from 2012-2015. Prior to joining FordHarrison, David was an attorney at a plaintiff-side law firm that represented individuals both in labor and employment law and consumer-related disputes, which provides him with great insight into the potential challenges that companies often face in litigation.
