Julie Bachert focuses her legal practice on litigating employment law disputes for employers, as well as providing advice and counsel to employers in pre-litigation disputes.

In pre-litigation disputes and litigation, Julie defends employers against a variety of claims, including wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, the California Family Rights Act, the California Labor Code, including the Private Attorneys General Act, and the California Business and Professions Code.  Julie also has litigation experience in multiple forums – state court, federal court, and private arbitration.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Julie was an associate at a Glendale-based law firm focusing on complex civil litigation. In this role, Julie handled numerous insurance defense matters for major carriers in both state and federal courts.

Julie is very comfortable handling a heavy caseload and maintaining excellent communications and relationships with clients and colleagues throughout. Julie also views preventative advice as a central component to her practice. As such, she authors legal advisories for clients and provides clients with counseling on a multitude of issues related to labor and employment law.
