Atlanta-based FordHarrison Partner Leanne Mehrman and 1L at Emory University Adrienne Wimberly contributed the article, "EEOC: Employers must allow transgender employees to use restroom of choice," in the June 2016 Georgia Employment Law Letter. Their article focuses on a recently released fact sheet from the EEOC titled "Bathroom Access for Transgender Employees Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964," the onslaught of "religious freedom bills" and the EEOC's response, as well as Georgia's position in the matter.
