FordHarrison LLP, one of the country's largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Ellen Ham, a Partner in the firm's Atlanta office, has been elected to the firm's Executive Committee. The Executive Committee consists of eight diverse firm partners who oversee every aspect of the firm's operation and development. They are responsible for the implementation of major firm decisions and policies, and for overseeing the day to day management of the firm. Ellen's election to the Committee is notably significant, as she is the third woman to join the group.
"Ellen shows remarkable leadership skills and unparalleled commitment to the firm on a routine basis," explained Lash Harrison, FordHarrison's Managing Partner. "We are looking forward to watching her grow and excel in her new role on the Executive Committee."
Ellen represents management in traditional labor matters and focuses her practice in the airline industry. She assists the firm's airline clients in grievance resolution matters, including grievance mediation and arbitrations. In addition, Ellen represents management in administrative matters before the Department of Labor/OSHA and the National Mediation Board and negotiates collective bargaining agreements for air carriers under the Railway Labor Act.
Ellen regularly counsels the firm's airline and airline-related clients on a wide range of workplace matters, including employee investigations, drug and alcohol testing under DOT regulations and state law, and contract language interpretation and application. She also conducts management training on various traditional labor and employment-related topics.
"It is an honor to be able to serve on the Executive Committee," said Ellen. "I am excited to work with firm leadership to contribute to the continued success and innovative development of FordHarrison."
Ellen was named Partner in 2007, and Equity Partner in 2009.
