Jared B. Thomson is an Associate with Kastner Westman & Wilkins, which is an affiliate of FordHarrison LLP.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Jared began his professional journey in the military, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems while on active duty. After being honorably discharged, Jared pursued a master’s of business administration from the University of Mount Olive, further honing his analytical and problem-solving skills.

The long-time “Law and Order” fan returned to his hometown area to then pursue a career in law by enrolling in Cleveland State University’s College of Law. There, Jared discovered his passion for labor and employment law when he participated in the Civil Practice Clinic. While in law school, he also clerked for a general practice firm representing many labor unions in and around Cleveland, Ohio.

Following law school graduation, Jared gained valuable litigation experience as an assistant prosecutor in Geauga County, handling juvenile delinquency cases as well as child and adult protective services matters. This work instilled in him a commitment to serving others and resolving complex disputes – skills that he now applies in his representation of employers.

At K|W|W, Jared focuses on a broad range of labor and employment matters, helping employers navigate workplace challenges with confidence and care. His military background and experience in both prosecution and union-side representation give him a well-rounded perspective that benefits his clients in resolving disputes, ensuring compliance, and fostering positive workplace environments.

Outside of his legal practice, the Mentor native and his spouse stay busy raising their six children in Mayfield Heights. Whether coaching youth football and basketball teams or embarking on family camping trips, Jared’s love of adventure and teamwork extends beyond the office and into every aspect of his life.
