PHOENIX - Ford & Harrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Richard S. Cohen, a Phoenix-based attorney, has been named to Law & Politics' 2009 list of "Southwest Super Lawyers."
Rick Cohen brings extensive experience in every facet of employment law, with primary emphasis on employment discrimination at the administrative, trial and appellate levels. He also has a substantial mediation and arbitration practice. He advises both private and public employers on day-to-day legal issues affecting the workplace, including employee discipline and terminations, sexual harassment and other employee misconduct, workforce reductions, discrimination claims, drug testing, non-compete provisions, workplace privacy, disability accommodations and other human resources issues. He also has experience negotiating and preparing executive employment agreements and executive separation packages. Rick received his J.D., with honors, from George Washington University Law School in 1971.
Attorneys are selected for this honor through a nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research on candidates. The rigorous process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of attorneys in the states of Arizona and New Mexico are selected for inclusion in 2009 "Southwest Super Lawyers."
