SPARTANBURG - FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that two attorneys in the firm’s Spartanburg, SC office have been selected for inclusion on the 2023 South Carolina Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. Wade Ballard was recognized as a Super Lawyer while Brianna Schill was named a Rising Star.
Attorneys are selected for this honor through a statewide nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research on candidates. The rigorous process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of attorneys in the state of South Carolina are named “Super Lawyers.”
The Rising Stars list recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state – those who are 40 years old or younger, or those who have been practicing for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list.
Wade serves as the Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Spartanburg office. He represents management in labor and employment matters in the courts, in arbitration, and before government agencies, including the EEOC, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the North and South Carolina Departments of Labor, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, and other agencies at the federal, state and local level. He has worked extensively with employers in many industries, including the healthcare, automotive, telecommunications, hospitality, energy, and aerospace industries. Also, Wade is certified by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a Specialist in the area of Employment and Labor Law.
Brianna is a Counsel in the firm’s Spartanburg office and focuses her legal practice on providing tailored solutions to management clients facing employment law disputes. Prior to joining the firm, she served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of South Carolina. In this role, she gained valuable trial and appellate experience by conducting case investigations, representing the State in evidentiary and motion hearings, drafting appellate petitions, returns, and briefs, and arguing before the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
