Mark Levitt has represented management in labor and employment law matters for more than 40 years.

Certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in Labor and Employment law, Mark is also committed to providing preventive counsel to his clients with a focus on problem solving to minimize risks through effective training, policy development, and issue spotting. When litigation cannot be avoided, he draws on his track record of success in all types of employment litigation at both the state and federal level including claims related to discrimination for race, religion, gender, national origin, pregnancy, age, and disability, as well as retaliation under Title VII of the Federal Civil Right Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and First Amendment claims under the U.S. Constitution under Section 1981, 1983 and 1985. Mark also advises and represents clients in issues related to the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Mark practiced law at a Florida-focused labor and employment management-side law firm for many years before joining FordHarrison. Mark's earlier career includes stints working for the first chairman of the Public Employees Relations Commission, the State of Florida Office of Labor Relations, and the National Labor Relations Board which helped him develop his extensive knowledge of private sector labor law. He is also a founding member of the Academy of Florida Management Attorneys and has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
